So here's the thing: I'm in fifth grade, and wearing Gap stuff makes me look like a clone, and wearing Abercrombie (or Hollister) makes me look like a wannabe (and I'm just not the Abercrombie kind of girl), and there are no cute clothing stores near my neighborhood except for Gap and I can't find any thrift stores. I'm willing to order clothes and accesories online, but I don't know what stores and what brands are appropriate and suitable for a 11 year old girl (me). My style is girly&cool (not too girly-girly, but something cute and something people will think, "wow, that's nice") so Gap is kinda perfect for me, but practically everyone at school wears it and I want to be different. Not like dorky-difference, but different in a cool way. Any shop or brand ideas? Any advice? Thanx!!

Wow, you sound incredibly intelligent for a fifth grader. Anyways. Try Roxy, or Fox. Kohl's is good, for variety. Stop in at Sears or even Wal-Mart can have decent clothing. Roxy and Fox are a little more expensive, but their designs are cute and I find them to be very comfortable. The last three all have a wide variety of clothes to choose from, and are inexpensive. Good luck!
By the way, ignore all the jerks who are making fun of you. Come on people, how old are you? You're making fun of a fifth grader over the internet, and cussing at them? Get a life! Fifth graders make fun of each other and it can definitely hurt, I remember my elementary school years. You should be glad there's one kid that doesn't want to conform.

If you like girly things check out limited too. They have really cute things. And if you like Gap but don't wanna be a clone then add a little something to your Gap clothes. You could put a retro patch on it or get some cute pins or you could get some fabric paint and customize it.

Wear what you want and don't worry about anything. The inferior worry about the trends and such. And 10 years later, all that does not matter now. All it is is a waste of time and mind. "How swift are the feet of the days of the years of youth".

wear what you want but there's a lot of other stores out there besides the Gap. if it's what's perfect for you, tho, then it just happens to be a coincidence that everyone else is wearing it, but not something you should concern yourself with.
