When a phone is said to be "unlock" it means that the software on the phone has been changed and so you can use the phone on any specific network and not be tied to one specific cell phone company.

The Motorola Ming A1200 unlock phone uses a sim card which means that this cell phone uses GSM network. The only two GSM network are Cingular (A T&T wireless) and T-Mobile. So you have a option of using this phone with one of these two cell phone companies. If you plan to purchase this phone remember that the phone does not include a sim card and that you will have to buy a sim card for this phone either from T-Mobile or A T&T Wireless.

May sure also that the frequency of the phone works with the carriers T-Mobile and A T&T Wireless . The GSM frequencies are 850 MHz, 1800 MHz, 900 MHz or 1900 MHz (megahertz) should work with either one of these two cell phone carriers. If you have any questions you can visit and talk to a salesperson at their retail stores.
