Don't pay any attention to the 2 poster here he sounds like a scam.I think you are doing the best you can right now,you are to be applauded for your fortitude in conserving what you have got.I do all that too and no I have no other ideas either. There is one thing and it does mount up but it take time.Every Friday what change I have in my purse gets dumped in a jar,and unless a real emergency comes up I usually have 80.00 to a hundred dollars at Christmas extra. Not the bills just the change. Also don't buy things on "sale" if you really don't need it,its a gimick and we all fall for it.

Do you work full time? I don't see why working full time would still not enough. Not sure how much you pay for rent, living with room mate not neccessary mean you are already paying low rent. I hope is not in a exculsive beach community...But not, it sounds like you are already doing everything you could, except if you need to find another part time job (if you are already working full time). Other than that you are doing all the right things...assume you are working full time and not paying high rent. Or GETTING ANOTHER HIGHER PAYING JOB. Not sure why that is not an option, maybe that is why are you in the situation you are. So be open for that option...

This is a situation where I don't see any way that you can save money right now. Every dime is going toward essentials. I hate when all these "experts" who make millions a year tell people to pay themselves first meaning you need to save money no matter what. Sometimes, there is no way. I mean, you can't save money that you don't have, right? It sounds like you're doing a good job with your finances, not spending on things you don't need, etc.

Can you move back in with your parents to save on rent?

There are three, and only 3, ways to save more money:

1. Spend less.
2. Make more.
3. Do both of the above simultaneously.

Pick one and enjoy your new-found riches.
