On any other keyboard, I would just hit the to capture an image of my screen. I would then paste it into a document or into paint. It doesn't work on my laptop. I tried Ctrl, Alt & Prt Scr, that didn't work. I also tried Alt & Prt Scr. What am I doing wrong here?

Does your print screen button have another command on the same button? For example, mine has both insert and print screen on the same button. To get print screen to work on my laptop, you have to hit the function button and . See if your print screen button is color coded to match another button on your screen, such as . If so, you are going to have to hit that button also.

Hi. The print screen function copies whatever you have on your screen to the clipboard. There are free programs that will do this better. For instance http://www.etrusoft.com/

Try hitting the PRT SC key and the fn key next to control at the same time.

Open paint or your favorite graphic design program, alternatively PHotoshop. Then click on edit and paste in there.
