Trying to solve this please.

you can't solve an expression. If you want to solve it, you have to make it into an equation and make it equal something. (well, you can't just snap your fingers and "make" it equal something. If this is off of your homework, go smack your professor) If you have 2 variables, you will need 2 equations and solve them as a system.

assume you mean 5x^2 + 32x + 12 = 0

(5x + 2)(x + 6) = 0

x = - 2/5 or -6

Like factorise 5x² + 32x + 12 perhaps?????
