A spacecraft is capable of leaving Earth's atmosphere and gravitational field (such as travelling to the moon or past the Earth/Moon system to other planets).
The space shuttle is not capable of travelling that distance, its really more like a short-haul truck.

A space shuttle is a type of space craft. Space crafts are any type of a flying object that can go into space. A space shuttle is such a thing. If an airplane or a bicycle could fly into space then they would be considered space craft. Just like airplanes and helicopters are known as aircraft.

A space craft is anything that travels in space (with an implication that it has people in it.)
A space shuttle is some thing that travels from earth (or another planet) to space and back, with the implication that people are carried in it and that it is reusable. Because of American experience, a shuttle is assumed to be winged and fly into a landing.

space craft
A spacecraft is a vehicle or device designed for spaceflight. On a sub-orbital spaceflight, a spacecraft enters outer space but then returns to the planetary surface (such as Earth) without making a complete orbit. For an orbital spaceflight, a spacecraft enters a closed orbit around the planetary body. Spacecraft used for human spaceflights carry people on board as crew or passengers. Spacecraft used for robotic space missions operate either autonomously or telerobotically. Robotic spacecraft that leave the vicinity of the planetary body are space probes. Robotic spacecraft that remain in orbit around the planetary body are artificial satellites.Spacecraft are used for a variety of purposes, including communications, earth observation, meteorology, navigation, planetary exploration, space tourism and space warfare. Spacecraft and space travel are common themes in works of science fiction.
space shuttle
Shuttles are each a partially reusable launch system composed of three main assemblies: the reusable Orbiter Vehicle (OV), the expendable External Tank (ET), and the two partially-reusable Solid Rocket Boosters (SRBs). The tank and boosters are jettisoned during ascent; only the orbiter goes into orbit. The vehicle is launched vertically like a conventional rocket, and the orbiter glides to a horizontal landing, after which it is refurbished for reuse.
At times, the Orbiter itself is referred to as the Space Shuttle. Technically, this is a misnomer. The actual "Space Shuttle" is the combination of Orbiter, External Tank and Solid Rocket Boosters. This is also referred to as the "Stack".

spacecrafts are the vehicles that can be used for spaceflight. there are two types of spacecrafts: the unmanned spacecraft, and the manned spacecrafts.
space shuttles are the spacecrafts, which can be categorized as manned spacecraft. these type of spacecraft are commonly used by our astronauts every time they docked in the ISS for ISS assembly, or every time they conduct a biological experiments outside the earth's atmosphere, etc.
