I work at Wal-Mart and we don't have security guards. If we catch a shoplifter we just call the police. The management watches the cameras. So does Walmart really have security guards?

Yes, indeed some Wal-Mart stores DO employ security guards. This is particularly true in some parts of Memphis, Nashville, and Atlanta. Infact, you can contact the Theft Prevention department at the Bentonville, AR headquarters for more information on this.

I don't know many wal-mart stores that have security guards. Even if they did, they would probably be 80 years old or really out of shape.

Some do.

Such as. Either it could be a "real"
sercurity guard. (Young fit full, of attention)

Or.

It could be some elderly person,
that is just helping out with the
community.

depends how you look at it.

Although, I would think that
every Wal-Marts I've been to
they have security guards.

I work at Wal-Mart, I'm armed, and I have the authority to drop you in your tracks like a sack of lead. Don't screw with my store!

Actually, I could pretty much leave it at that and have a lot of people believing it. But none of it is true. Wal-Mart stores do have security personnel, though.

Many stores have been eliminating their security guards these days in order to save money. Basically, all the employees double as security guards while they are doing their other duties.

Only security guards I've ever seen at a Walmart were in the parking lots, and in high....immigrant type neighborhoods/areas.

my walmart has a security guard but i swear hes at least 65 years old...he putt-putts around in his little security truck at night with the little yellow light on the top. I shop very late at night and if i was mugged i dont think he would even notice.
