just before maynamar monks were beaten under the watchful eye of world television screens, president of Iran was here in the US and we let him had it. Am sure if that happens in Iran, the name of Iran and its president would mentioned a million times a day on our tv stations and the whole world would mobilised . But we stayed and watched freedom in Maynamar being beaten to death, with no reaction. Isnt that weird or do we only intervene in muslim countries ?

You almost answered your own question.
I share you that feeling of helplessness, but it seems to me that
America only interves militarily if the following conditions are met
1-it should be a muslim country
2-it should be a weak country
3-there should be an economic or strategic gain

Maynamar does not meet any of the above criteria.

for what reason do we have to intervene? These monks are in an entire other society. How would they feel if america just stormed the place with our troops. What the hell do we even know about the monks. We are not in the position to assume authority here. Why should we help something we dont even understand. Bottom line is: its none of our business.
