I believe that "we" is too inclusive of a term to describe Al Gore for all republicans. I don't hate or dislike the man or what he has obviously contributed and possibly enlighten us on his positions. However, I think that he would be one of the best candidates for the democratic party at this time, regardless of his somewhat "controversial" views and comments he has made in the past.

We don't all hate him. I think he could have won the election had Bill stepped aside when he was Impeached and let Al take over. It would have been an easy win. I just think he is a hypocrite on Global Warning...he buys Carbon Offsets from a company he owns...so he is paying himself to offset his burning of fossil fuels. How can he honestly state that all those SUV's are cause the polar caps to melt...when in fact the polar caps on Mars are melting...are our telescopes not seeing all those Martian SUV's driving around up there. Or maybe...could it actually be the solar flares from the sun????

Republicans don't like science because it supports liberal ideas. The more the facts dispute their dogma, the more they lash out in fury. They believe that if they say something over and over again it disputes mountains of evidence. If they say it louder, it has more power. If they say it angrily it means their tough.
