I'm looking to make a small list of good songs that will relax me. I like a large variety of music, to get an idea of what i like to make the best list possible would be: Hero Heroine by Boys like Girls, the rave song Ayla, etc..

Try:

1. A Modern Myth - 30 Seconds to Mars
2. Thunder - Boys Like Girls (The acoustic version of this is really good, too.)
3. Best of Me - Sum 41
4. Stop and Stare - One Republic
5. Swing Life Away - Rise Against
6. Cohkka - Apocalyptica
7. Heart Made of Sound - the Softlightes
8. Valkyrie Missile - Angels and Airwaves
9. Hush - Angie Aparo
10. Requiem for a Dream (remix) - Clint Mansell / Lord of the Rings
11. Superman, or maybe 100 Years - both by Five for Fighting
12. This Isn't What We Meant - Savatage
13. How to Be Dead - Snow Patrol
14. Unwell - Matchbox 20
15. Let's Get F*cked Up and Die - Motion City Soundtrack
16. Invincible, or Unintended - Both are by Muse
17. Tonight - Red Letter Agent
18. Straight Lines - Silverchair
19. As You Sleep - Something Corporate
20. Runaway Train - Soul Asylulm
21. Hey Jude - The Beatles

Hope those are good. I tried to choose kind of mellow songs.

Try Mozart. The complexity of his pieces is supposed to stimulate your brain, but the classical music aspect will put you to sleep easily. There are Mozart CDs to help babies go to sleep and subtly stimulate their brains. The Baby Einstein/Baby Mozart CDs are supposed to help with: "development of spatial intelligence, reasoning and other cognitive skills." Why let the babies have all the learning?
