Ron Paul has been working to end the genocide being committed by the government of the United States (both the Democrat and Republican branches) against the Iraqi people. He has been working to get the troops out of harms way. He is a peacemaker who is trying to end the US policy of destabilizing the Middle East and provoking terrorism.

Al Gore has made a documentary about global warming (which is of dubious accuracy), which has absolutely nothing to do with peace. Shouldn't the Nobel Peace Prize have gone to Ron Paul and his supporters for attempting to end the War on Iraq?

No. Ron Paul's efforts have been concentrated pretty much within the confines of the United States. While Al Gore is known World-Wide for his efforts to raise awareness about Global Warming. Climate disruptions can seriously affect people on a HUGE scale (through Drought, Floods, rising temperatures- etc.). And THOSE changes (like that which happend in New Orleans)- can result in the destabilization of whole Countries. Gore won the "Peace Prize"- because he KNOWS that the Changes G.W. WILL bring- will cause World Upheaval- unless we do something about it- NOW.

Consider environmental impacts potentially caused by global warming, such as food shortages, and then tell me it has nothing to do with peace.

Take the food out of your belly and starve yourself for a week and tell me how peaceful it makes you feel.
