babes in toyland is good, but I really like blowfish.com. They have a wide selection and they review their products and even a buying guide for harnesses, link below. I've bought from them several time and they are discreet and reputable. I also used to live near San Jose, and used to go to Leather Masters. They also have an online catalog now. Chose one that has wide straps so you can make it tight enough to stay put and it won't cut into you. Also elastic straps just never worked, leather was much better. There is also one that goes on your thigh vs. pubis.

There are many mail order houses that may have what you are looking for and that are searchable on the web
If you live in a big city there are probably plenty of stores that will allow you to try one on, not nude, but at least you'll get an idea
I'm a gay male, but one of the best sex toy brick and mortar stores I've come across is Larry Flynt's Hustler stores--nicely appointed with incorporated cafes, books, toys, candy, novelties, everything. if you're in p-town, MA, either Toys of Eros, or Wild Hearts. You can try them on there (over the undies of course) to see what fits best for you. When you buy online, you can't be sure.
