Hi,

I've kind of wondered this for a while now because friends did some research into Vampires and what not, so... do Vampire's and Were/Ware Wolves really exist?!

Are any of the readers reading this believers? Do you think/believe you are related to super natural beings? or do you have proof you ARE one?!

Hey, if you got facts or links post them up... proof, fiction, quizzes ^.^ I'm all ears because I don't know if Vampire's or Were/Ware Wolves exist ^.^ so you can call this... a search for understanding and knowledge of the unknown.

If you want to tell me that there are more breeds of Were/Ware's and Vampires than the Psi/Bloodlust and Human Flesh Devouring kinds then post up the link with the explination and facts ^.^ "knowledge is power!" as they say ^.^

(Why do I spell it Were/Ware? well truth be told my spelling sucks... more so when I type really fast so I'm making sure that I don't make an error to offend people ^.^)

Mel out ^.^

No they do not exist. There are many people who wish they existed so much they make themselves believe they have proof of existance. Fiction books and movies are fun, but they are just that, fiction. Don't confuse fantasy with reality

Nah. Vampires are a completely fictitious construct, first popularized by Bram Stoker in his novel, "Dracula". Prior to that - far as I know - nobody had ever heard of or invented the Vampiric character. Other authors just piggybacked his creative works and morphed the character over the ages.

Werewolves are pretty-much the same thing as far as I can tell, though I don't know where they come from (literarily speaking).

The closest thing to a vampire that could be real would be a seriously disturbed - and genetically mutated - human. There's no such thing as a person who has massive canines AND can suck blood THROUGH them into a digestive system that feeds on blood, is immortal (look at the laws of physics - law of entropy, laws of thermodynamics, etc. - nothing lives forever), dies with the sunlight hitting it (on Earth...though on Mercury ANYTHING would burst into flames...) and can be killed by silver bullets, crucifixes and wooden stakes.

The closest thing to a werewolf would be a person who hasn't shaved in YEARS and grew up with animals. Seriously. But in reality, they're still human, have the same human genome as you, can be killed with a single bullet or a big blunt object to the head, doesn't have supernatural strength, etc.

It's all a fictitious work honestly. Which disappoints me because if Vampires WERE real, damn I'd love to be one!

Dear mel,
The supernatural varieties of vampires and lycanthropes (werewolves) are creations of legend and popular fiction. They do not exist except in the imagination.
There are some people who believe they are vampires or werewolves, and psycho-somatically take on some of the characteristics of their obsessions, but there is no hard evidence of either the blood-lusting Undead, or the howling shape-shifters. That's probably why they're so popular a topic of fiction.
If there were such beings, their reality would be too nasty and/or revolting to romanticize.

I don't know for sure but I do know a little about the mythes and how they came to be. In movies you always see vampires killed by a wooden stake through the chest. In old times people were so afraid of people coming back to life that they nailed a wooden stake through a dead persons chest into the casket so if they woke from the dead they wouldnt be able to get out of the casket. Also there was a guy who was born in Transylvania named vlad the impaler who was also named Vlad III Dracula, vlad was a ruler who killed many people and dipped his bread in their blood and ate it. Warewolves, many psychologists believe that this myth originated because people believed that people with schizophrenia.

The werewolf phenomenoe is actually a demonic ritual whereas the subject kills a wolf, dances around a fire, sprinkles the wolf blood and wears the wolfskin - becoming the wolf in spirit. The subject then hunts the unsuspecting victim whom caused the subject such mental duress as to result to demonic involvement and murder.

For real. Do your homework.

No, not in reality. But I can imagine that if they do exist in this modern age, vampires would be using straws, and werewolves would be choosy in their victims. That's not to mention that they would be open to AIDS and other diseases. Surely they would worry after their own health, wouldn't they?

In my opinion i think they honestly do exsist, and like you said they're might be different breeds of them.Or that they might have had them in their family line and maybe have certain gifts from that werewolf or vampire.

Werewolves, no. Vampires, no. Self-proclaimed vampires that drink their friends blood that they had tested to make sure they wouldn't get a disease, all of this to try and prove something, yes. Enough said.

No, they make great stories that I read whenever possible for the "what if" factor; but thats as far as it goes.

Best quote:
"Werewolf!"
"Where wolf?"
"There wolf."

For the record, the supernatural, by definition, cannot exist.
