Other people felt he did, and that is all that matters

As a European he would not have won the prize.
(Here you're no sensation when explaining basics)
An American finally acknowledging facts is rare
though these days - so he deserved half a Nobel and
if he uses a part of the money to buy a Toyota Prius for
his campaign, I'll have one reason less for nagging him.

Republicans label everyone who disagrees with them a liberal, or socialist, or communist. They lie and lie about their enemies, attack them personally and attack their families, and then play innocent when those slandered try to hold them accountable. The reaction we're seeing to Gore's prize is disgusting, and I'd say that these immoral so-called "Conservatives" should be ashamed of themselves, but we all know they have no shame to speak of.

The Nobel Prize is awarded by the Swedes and the Norwegians. It's their award to give out as they see fit. You don't get to label the Nobel Prize Committee "liberal" because you don't like who they gave the award to. Note that Gore is donating his entire prize to a climate change charity. Of course, insane conservatives believe that climate change is a liberal conspiracy too, the dumb fools.

Of course not.

But did Kissinger? Le Duc Tho? Carter? Arafat?

At least Le Duc Tho had the guts to turn it down.

Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini were all nominated, you know -- thank goodness for them not getting it too.

The Nobel Peace Prize is a highly politicized gesture, nothing more.

Sure why not.

He met their criteria and they elected him. It is their prize to do with what they will.

g-day!

Greetings. i'm confused. just what did Al Gore do to promote peace or have anything to do with peace at all? all i think of with him is his science fiction new physics theory of carbon dioxide causing climate change. that is assinine. but then those who believe such fools as this are happy with it. so for their sake he deserves it. it is just about their mental level so fits beautifully. watch out when you open that next bottle of soda pop or beer and don't let any of the fizz out, it would help contribute to "global warming" and kill polar bears. And for the Al Gore believers, please show your support and stop breathing. you are giving off carbon dioxide in your exhaled breath. bad. bad. Al Gore hasn't taken a honest breath in how many years?

My first reaction was "That's ridiculous", then I remembered that the same award had already been given to Jimmy Carter and Yassar Arafat.

Who cares about the Nobel Prize anymore. It's a joke.

NO NO NO. does the liberals pander to their own YES YES YES. SICK SICK SICK. This award is now meaningless. let him have the paper weight.
