Of course I remember him!!!
I guess one of his most famous songs was "The Streak"...I remember one time at the Oscars (I saw this on television), Elizabeth Taylor was presenting an Oscar for something and some guy streaked behind her and she said "I think I'm jealous!"...that sorta "fixed" the song "The Streak" in my mind forever.
Some other Ray Stevens classics are:
It's Me Again, Margaret
Everything Is Beautiful
Mississippi Squirrel Revival (I **hooted** at this one!)
Alley Oop
Would Jesus Wear a Rolex?
Ahab The Arab
Osama, Your Mama
'Cause Santa Claus Is Watching You (another song I still hoot with laughter when I hear it)
And, of course, one of his all-time classics, The Shriners' Convention!!! (I love the part about "Well, how'd you get that big Harley up there *ON* the diving board, boy? Never mind; Coy, that ain't NO way to act!"

He did several funny songs including "The Haircut Song", "The Pirate Song", "Gitarzan", "Ahab The Arab", "Osama Yo Mama", "Would Jesus Wear A Rolex", "I'm My Own Grandpa", "The Midnight Special", "It's Me Again Margaret", and the most unknown of his songs (at first credited to the fictitious "Henhouse Five Plus Two") with a bunch of chicken voices doing the Glenn Miller classic "In The Mood".
He also had several serious songs that were very effective, including covers of "Everything Is Beautiful" and "Misty", and my personal favorite "Mr. Businessman".

i think ray stevens is a very- talented treasure..some of my favorite songs were like "the shameful ballad of elijah the precocious orchard queen" and "the higher education of ole blue". theres also "the motel song" and "the ballad of the blue cyclone" and "the long arm of the law" to name a few not so popular as "the streak" and "the mississippi squirrel revival"

Mississippi squirrel revival was my favorite as a kid, also the shriners convention song...and the streak...Lol. Do you remember Jerry Clower? He's AWESOME!!! You have to look him up. He's a stand up comedian from Mississippi and he's HILARIOUS! He lived next to my Grandma in McComb, Mississippi.
