Hey folks. I'm trying to prove Fermats Last Theorem the way that Fermat himself did (not the new 20th century proof). Any suggestions?

At present it is highly doubted that Fermat actually provided a proof at the time of writing. The complexity of the 20th century proof strongly suggests that a less technical proof is unavailable.

My advice would be to investigate other problems, as there is no real evidence that Fermat himself proved the theorem.

Well, It's maybe just a kind of joke by Fermat.
But, considering of Fermat's Little Theorem that can be proved, so does Fermat's Last Theorem.
My suggestions :
Find any theory proved before the Fermat's Last Theorem.
Maybe he used Fermat's Little Theorem to prove Fermat's Last Theorem?

P.S. : Don't get into it too far. You'll be addicted to mathematics.

I had his proof written down somewhere in the margin of some papers that I have, I just can't find where it is now. When I find it, I'll get back to you.
