In general--Hummingbirds. They're cute, quick, and if a human being could be given the physical attributes, they'd be superhuman, literally (do the math....scale up a 3 3/4 inch long Ruby Throated Hummingbird's flying speed of 60 miles per hour to a human being standing...oh, five foot six inches. I picked that height to make the math easier. ^_^ Of course, with the human it would be running speed.).
As a Pet--Cats are still spiffy. ^_^ About the only ones I've not got along with are long-haired Persians, and those are just *hair-trigger*, no pun intended.

Believe me...Pigeons. The plain old street ones! They arenot diry where they nest. They love people. They are already trained...they never run from us unless we chase them They are easily caught. They are loyal companions and will follow you all over the house, if you take one home. All you ahveto do is open a window and they will fly out to go to the bathroom and fly back in when finished. Their "cooing" is soothing, soft, and gentle when you are upset. They will sleep on your spare pillow beside you on your bed. VERY low maintenance! They will eat anything you eat...and love frest roasted peanuts...in the shell!
You don't have to "tame" them. They will automatically come and land on your arm if you wave it up and down. They come in a variety of colours. They mate for life...and, take very good care of their babies after hatching.

I like tigers because they are so majestic,
Blue whales because despite their size they are so graceful in the water,
Owls because they have such a enigmatic gaze
Cats because they RULE
Dogs because they are so stupidly cute and loyal
Meerkats because, well just because who wouldnt like em!!

Dogs: greyhounds! They are my favorite type of dog breed! But, I do have a kerry blue terrier, who I love to death! He is great! Thanks for the great question,
