and they get out of their car wanting to fight? This happened to me tonight, but I didn't run the guy over...I was tempted to though.

It is considered use of a deadly weapon if you run him over, the man cannot fight off the car or give up after he is run over.
If you picked up a stick and hit him to keep him from beating on you it would be considered self-defense, but you must stop at that point when he stops coming at you.

I would get some Mace ASAP! Yes, it would be illegal to kill someone if they were having serious road rage. I heard this story a few years ago about this lady who was driving in L.A. and evidentally she was driving too slowly for some idiot, and he made her pull over, and reached in her car and grabbed her dog and threw it in the freeway! Horrible! I would've shot his a**!

Yes very illegal unless he had a gun pointed at you about to shoot you can say self defense...other than that, you'll be hit with attempted murder...next time that happens, I would get out of the car and just talk sh*t to him until he gets the guts to hit me...than I would sue his a** off =] I wouldn't be too hurt too, hopefully other cars would get out and call the cops or come break it up

No. you may not use a car to run that person over. you can only use the same level ( or one step llower) of force to disfuse the situation.
