I was in Manchester, NH last month which is nearby Raymond. Real down to earth. Not what I'd expect in the northeast. I'm very familar with Wisconsin having had a place over near Richland Center years ago. I think Raymond will be a good place for you. I'm curious as to how you chose to move to New Hampshire from Wisconsin.

I haven't lived in Raymond but I did work there for a little bit at a local school. I have lived NH my whole life. I live a little farther south. Raymond is close to Manchester which is a big city. The major highway there is 101 which leads to 93 which leads to Boston, MA or Salem, NH. Raymond is not a city but a town. It does have a downtown area but nothing too big. Living in NH I find most people are friendly. It is not a dirty or crime ridden place. You are also close to the ocean. I don't see any reason why you wouldn't like to live there. I wouldn't hesitate to move there.

As far as cost of living I would say it is average for the area. Living anywhere near the coast the cost of living can be higher then other areas. Right now gas costs about 2.63 a gallon. Houses average about 200,000 and rent for a 2 bedroom apartment about 1,000 a month. You can buy a large pizza for 10.00 and it costs $8 a person to see a movie.

Hopefully some of that heps and welcome to NH.

Welcome to NH!!!!!
Raymond is on the out skirts of Manchester, NH (which is a busy town)!! Raymond is small, quite, and not well known. Average age living there is 34. Average condo value is $203,000. 49 miles to Boston, MA.
On "google" search for Raymond, NH and it will tell you allot. You will love NH..beautiful time of the year, peak season for foliage!

I answered on the other site, All I can tell about is the White Mountain area. I can only say New Hampshire is beautiful, but we only camped there, sorry, and good luck.
