Because no war time President is ever popular. Harry Truman's approval rating is the second lowest I believe until he silenced the Japanese Empire with two bombs. FDR began to lose approval ratings as WW2 crept on and he is considered one of our greatest Presidents today. Bill Clinton's approval rating never dipped too low because the guy NEVER made a tough decision in his eight years as President. The guy made decisions solely on what the polls told him to do. This country was attacked several times by Islamic terrorists under Clinton's watch and the guy nothing. '93 first trade center bombing. Kobar towers attack.
Bush has failed miserably on immigration. One last note. The Democratic Congress who ran on change has a lower approval rating than Bush and has the LOWEST Congressional rating in the history of this country.

It could be the war in Iraq, it could be the fact that he took a long vacation before he started his first term instead of reading the reports that warned him of 9/11, it could be that he makes America look like a bunch of dumb idiots that can't speak in public.

Because Bill was handsome (Appealed to women voters of all ages) Played the saxophone (was hip to young people) and could make a great speech and had charm (appealed to both dems and repubs when he spoke anyway). Unfortunately Bush is too strong willed (For the soccer mom crowd) Doesn't play the saxophone (No points with the hip crowd) and his speeches can be painful, even for someone like myself that supports him. Bush is a good man with integrity, and what the liberal turds have done to him is inexcusable!
