Whenever I have a shower, even if the windows/door is closed and no matter how hot the water is, I'm freezing! It feels like a cold breeze; does it have to do with hot air hitting cold?

If you and the air are cold when you start the shower, it's normal to feel cold for the first minute or so. You've removed your insulation (clothes), so your body starts losing heat quickly and hasn't had time to adjust your metabolism to compensate. A minute in a warm shower, gradually raising the water temperature, eventually compensates for the heat loss, even if your own metabolism doesn't.

If you still feel cold after a minute or two in a warm shower, it's likely a symptom of a medical problem, perhaps a thyroid deficiency.

Shower with a thermometer. Water above 95 F should feel warm; water above around 102 F should feel hot. Perhaps your water heater temperature is just set too low.

its probably the air coming into the shower.
before you get in, make sure the plug is down tight and start the water hot. close the door and brush your teeth for a few minutes or something while the water runs, dont let your tub get more than halfway filled. then turn on the freezing water unless you feel like you can dive your hand into steaming water .. to cool it off. the steam shouldve started filling the room. you can also try plugging up the bottom of the door with an extra towel, and throw your towels in the dryer before you take a shower

I had that same problem it is probably your body temperature is cold and is not ready to adapt to the temperature of the water although you could also be sick on the inside of your body and not on the out side like a virus.

Try baths.... (?)

Maybe ... I guess I feel that cold feeling, like the body shivering out the cold or cool. That's why I take such long showers. I never want to get out.

when water hits your skin, it immediatly begins to evaporate. to do so, it needs energy, which requires heat. that explains why when you get out of the shower you freeze, or when you get out of a pool. you are simple not warm blooded as they say. you just shiver easily and thats just how youre built... :)

i basically study off the internet that chilly water and warm water is undesirable on your epidermis. the chilly and heat water reasons your pores to clog and starts off peeling off your epidermis. So, the terrific answer is heat water. i'm completely like particular with that. i individually wish you had a hotter bathe water thingy.. thank you for the question ?
