NO it ISN'T disrespectful, it isn't wrong for him to dislike her. i can't stand my wife's mother, she is a vindictive backstabbing...well you get the point. if you really like him then you have to accept his opinions.

I think you are complicating your relationship. Would you prefer a boyfriend that doesn't like your mom, and doesn't tell you things like they are so you life in a world that doesn't exist?. If he is not having any other issue with you, he did the perfect thing, he is in your side, with you and he is telling you things like they are. If he doesnt' like your mom, well, there is nothing he can do and he wants her girlfriend to know that, does he have valid reasons or that was on pupose? I don't know. But there are ways to be disrespectfcul, but if he doesn't like your mom, and he wants to be honest with you, keep a good connection-communication, the best he could have done was to share that with her girlfriend. You were disrispecful with him and trynig to make hide things from you and fake a smile when he was uncomforable, that's another way of seeing it. It's good that you asked this question, because it seems you told him that he was disrespectul but it looks like you also think, he was right, and I think, you know what I'm talking about. Enjoy your relationship, if you like him.

Yes that was disrespectful. He should try to get along with your mom if he is going to have any kind of relationship with you.

No , he's being truthfull. Bluntly so. As long as he doesn't dwell on the subject and bring it up every time you talk about, to, or with her, It' OK. You don't have to like everyone in his family either. Don't cut people off from your life just to get even.

Its not disrepectful that he is honest. Would you rather he lie because I would find that disrespectful.

it's not disrespectful. All he did was tell you his oppinion. thet's noting you can do to make him like your mom so get over it. it's no big deal.

YES it is disrespectful.
Its your mom for heaven sake, of course you will take offense to it. He should keep his opinion, like that to himself. That is a good way to end a relationship, in a hurry.
What is his reasoning for not liking her? Is she mean to him, to you?
