i know i am not gay. i truely love and adore women. i merely try to emulate them. i hope to hear helpful and concerned responses from genetic gals who are open and accepting. i also would like to hear from the transgendered community.

Yes it is very possible. I know that i have gone to Macy's and have had a make over done right at the MAC counter. They were very helpful, understanding, and din't create any kind of scene. A big part of being a crossdresser is to be happy with who you are. it an attitude of not being shy, but confident of who you are and what you want to do.
If you want a make over.. then go get a make over. They should be happy to take your money as much as anyone elses.

Of course it should be possible: they are a business who sell a service - you are a potential customer who wants that service. As a business they need to make money.

The only reason that they may not want to serve you would be potentially upsetting regular clientelle (lose 1 sale over 10 sales scenario), so be prepared for an unusual time-slot.

BTW there are boutiques who specialise in fem makeovers for crossdressers and other members of the TG community, but be prepared to spend a little more - their market is a little more limited, but you would get more acceptance.

There are quite a few boutiques that cater to cross-dressers in most larger cities, but I'm sure you could find a salon in your town if you made a few phone calls. Plus, with Halloween just around the corner, I'm sure you could get some girl at a salon that would love to help make you over as a girl for Halloween, that's a great way to start.

I am a genetic gal with some CD friends. There are places that cater to crossdressers. Depends on where you live.Try large cities. Call some places and find out if they cater to men.

Most crossdressers are not gay. It really depends on which city you live. Many large cities are more open to it. Call some makeup artists and Aestheticians and ask to schedule an appointment.

Just go in as ask the manager or manageress they can only say no but why should they your money is a good as anyone elses. I bought a maid's uniform in the local shop once and tried it on in the shop with the help of the staff. I asked them first and they were quite pleased to do it.

Your best option would be to call ahead and ask them if it would be alright to visit their shop/salon. Let them know that you are an MtF crossdresser who would like to have a makeover. They may tell you no, they would rather not do it, or they could welcome you with open arms. If you can, try to schedule an appointment for off-peak hours, to save yourself, and their other customers potential embarrassment.
Be courteous and confident, and enjoy the pampering.

The TG community has people who are especially talented at helping cd's learn how to "pass". Oftentimes they woprk with porfessional counselors whose patient base is TG. You are not going to get a warm reception and great service in most women's boutiques.

I think sometimes it is.. Chibi of The Birthday Massacre doesn't sound like a guy at all to me when she growls on the track "Blue" because even her growl has a slightly higher pitch to it.
