Check out car-parts.com for a used engine. Or go to GM Parts direct for a crate. Or you could go a remanufactor short block from Jasper. Like one of the other members mentioned.
Good luck!

new? at the chevy dealer. you can get a "crate" motor brand new for a pretty fair price. Or used? try the wrecking yard, most of them pull the motors, record the mileage and do a compression check on them. They sell em cheap, but you may get one with problems. The good news is they usually guarantee them, but the bad news is you have to pull it back out yourself to return it. Otherwise, check the local paper for "auto parts" I usually see a lot of wrecked cars with good motors advetised there.
