"Understand Your Man" or "Don't Think Twice" Did Dylan inspire Johnny Cash or vice versa?

Both are very similar in sound and sentiment, and I have heard that they both admired each other.1964/65 could go either way.

I've listened to and noticed the similarities in both songs. If this happened today, one artist would probably be suing the other for plagiarism!

Since "Don't Think Twice" was on the "Freewheeling Bob Dylan" LP which was released in 1963 and "Understand Your Man" was released in early 1964, I would assume that Dylan influenced Cash.

both are excellent...
