I would like to find a good security program that gives you the capability of chatting with customer support.
I had paid a year in advance for bullguard. They were good but I added my dad, it slowed his dial up so he cancelled and they cancelled mine too, accidently I think, for a week and I got scores of viruses.( I was gone for that time). They would not own up to it and couldn't contain the viruses so I quit them and they said they will reimburse me.
My son added AVG last week. It is scheduled to run scans daily and I just went into the program and it hasn't been doing that.
Can someone please advise me of a super good program where you can chat if you have a problem? At this point money is no object if they are the best. Thanks in advance! :(

I love my TrendMicro's PCcillan.

The thing costs a mint - but I can correspond with them. I use e-mail, though... I've never attempted a chat, so I do not know if they charge or not.... but it is a WONDERFUL Antivirus program.

Go peek at their site:

Peace.

I strongly recommend you get rid of avg and purchase a security suite (antivirus , firewall, antispyware, etc) from a RELIABLE vendor like McAfee and properly configure the program and configure it for automatic updates.. then you will not need any second-rate technical support... you will have paid for the real thing and will not need to use it.

Find a qualified technician in your area (check their credentials and references) and have them harden your system (secure it) and have them give you a tutorial on how to use your security software and some basic computer maintenance tips. You could also find a security awareness class and basic computer maintenance course for users.

Good Luck

Great question--I'd like to know too. I've had both Norton & McAfee, and don't care for either one. Trying to get any kind of tech support is nearly impossible. The only way to get any real help from them is to pay---at $30 a pop.

AVG should, but Avira is a great one, as is AVAST.

Also, if you need to chat with a support person, I am a computer tech, and my yahoo messenger name is bob98830 ^_^

ALSO: McAfee and Norton ar not worth the money. they can't even pass a basic EICAR test! (european viral protection test)

Proof? test yourself.
