Yes , there are, you could spot them by the difference in color,
The males are Bright Red with small Black dots, The females
have an almost a Terracotta, Brick red color. This makes the
female less appetizing to the Birds that would eat them. The male takes the chance , so as to preserve the species.

Would you believe that is the guys (as usual) who get the polka dots. The gals are solid. I do think the gals fly south in February to LA for Mardi Gras though for at least a chance at some beads.
