I have an 02 Cavalier and it won't start or even turn over. I had this problem a while ago and I had the Battery connectors replaced, things seemed to be good after that. I now went to start my car and I get nothing, I have no lights or power at all but my dash indicators have stayed on and a few numbers on my mileage are still lighted. Do you think it is my battery or what else could it be?

Either your battery has gone bad or you have a open fusible link wire near you starter

First your connector. Was the cable full of white/green stuff when you changed the connector? It can crawl up the cable further. You have to either replace the cable fully or cut back the cable until the cable is not decayed anymore and you are at fresh cable, then put on the connector... If you are sure it is not the cable, then...

Battery and alternator. Change them both. Don't mess around. Your alternator was probably taxing itself in the last year of service trying to charge a battery that was on the verge of dying.

it sounds like you have a really bad connection on the battery or the ends that they might have put on are not working like they should, your supposed to replace the whole cable when they give problems,id try the connections at the battery id say that's where the problem might be in it,if it is ,later on you might want to invest in new cables to prevent this from happening again,it could also be the battery gone bad in it this time, good luck with it.

If you've never had the battery changed, I'd take it in and have it tested. Can you jump start it? If you get it going, make sure the voltage at the battery is above 13 volts.

Your battery is COMPLETELY dead.

You need to replace it and find the cause of power drain.
It "could" be a bad alternator, or something else like an aftermarket amplifier not wired up right.

Short!
If you stick your beer can into the back of the starter and it wont turn over then it's the battery or connections.

Are the cables tight on the post and if so. It could be either a bad starter/alternator.
