"Zygomatic process is the lateral projection of the maxilla bone. It articulates with the zygomatic bone" (from a web search).
P.S.--I just looked up the zygomatic process in my old Grant's Atlas of Anatomy and there is a diagram of a skull on page 462 and it has an arrow pointing to the zygomatic process on the frontal bone, the upper lateral side of the orbit (eye socket). However, when I looked up the location of this process on the web, I get that it's on the temporal bone, another says the maxilla, and yet another says the frontal bone and the zygomatic bone so it must be located on all of the above. It forms the cheek bone, in other words.

The zygomatic process is a protrusion from the rest of the skull, like the bumper of a car. Most of it belongs to the zygomatic bone, but there are other bones contributing to it too, namely the frontal bone, maxilla and temporal bone.
