Ok, Sundin passed Sittler as the all time leading points scorer for the TML franchise. Who is the better hockey player and why?

Great, some puke who wasn't even alive when Sittler played chimes in with his comments and he's a putrid Sens fan to boot.

My biggest Leafs memory is Sittler's 10 point night. Sundin has not provided me with anything close to that. I respect Mats but I just thought a guy that big, with that much talent should have done more. I realize he carried the team at times (or so it seemed) but maybe there's that lingering prejudice because we had to dump Clarkie to get him.

Sittler. Sittler was a far smarter player than Sundin was. Sittler made better use of his linemates than Sundin does. He was a better defensive forward than Sundin.

One can argue that Sittler had a better supporting cast in his best years with Lanny McDonald (HOF), Borje Salming (HOF), Errol Thompson, and Ian Turnbull. But all the same, he was a great player year in and year out for the Leafs..........and had to endure Pal Hal

Nothing against Mats, but I always liked Darryl Sittler because he was the dominant Maple Leaf at a time when the Leafs and my Flyers used to meet regularly in the playoffs during the late 1970's. It helped also that he played here for a little while.

Puck Dat... That's not Sundin's fault. take it as you will, but without a valid winger, he didn't score all those points by default.
Oh, and Puck, email me. I might have something you might be interested in. Might take me a while to respond, busy.

Who cares? Points and no sniff at the prize..the Zamboni driver has as many Stanley Cup rings as those two combined.
