How many mph would I need to run in order to meet 2 miles in 14 minutes?

just convert the minutes into hours

[2 miles] / [14 minutes(1hour/60minutes)]

or that would be 120miles/14 hours

divide

= 2 / 14 miles / min
= 120 / 14 mph
= 60 / 7 mph
= 8 4/7 mph

2miles / 14 minutes

Multiple top and bottom by 60 minutes(1 hour)/14 minutes (notice minutes cancel each other out)

120/14 miles/ hour

= 8.5714 mph

60 min -> (60/14)*2 = (approx) 8.58 mph

keep in mind 1 minute = 1/60 hour

v = d/t
= 2mi / 14min
= 2mi / 14(1/60) hr
= 2mi/ 0.23hr
= 8.57 mi/hr
