LAILA needs to stop giving a thumbs down to EVERY answer that comes before hers. It's extremely juvenile. AlBaltes gave you a good answer and a link to the perfect website to help you as opposed to unproven websites that may charge fees for services that may not even help you. If you are under age and you plan to check out those websites make sure you have your parents do it with you. ACTRA will have lots of info that you should check out.
Be careful of listening to children who don't have a clue. No legit casting director is going to search online for talent when headshots come to their mail and email every day by the hundreds. That's what some of those sites claim to do if you pay them and upload your photo.
What you need to do is get into classes. Training is important. You also need to gain experience so start auditioning for theatrical productions to build your resume. You can search for auditions on backstage.com and actorsaccess.com. On both you can look for free initially but to use them fully you will have to pay. They are very legit sites, but atleast you can check them out first to see if it will be worth it for you. Please have your parents do this with you. It's late or I'd explain in more detail, sorry. Look at many of my past answers regarding these sites. Or you can message me if you have any questions.
Also, as for getting 'high end' auditions, in Canada those are in Vancouver and Toronto so if you don't live near there then you won't be able to get those. That's also where the agents are and you will need an agent to get those auditions. You absolutely can get some auditions without an agent and you can build a decent resume without an agent, but you will not get the roles you desire without one. Also, an agent knows the business and when it comes to contract negotiations why in the world would you want to go into that blind? Do you or your parents know how to make sure you get the best deal? Do you know about per diem and residuals? Honestly, you need an agent if you want the kind of roles I think you do.
Go to the ACTRA site, get more info, get into classes, and build a resume through theatre and student and indie films. Then try to get an agent. Hopefully you will be able to find one locally or you can make the trip into Vancouver or Toronto when something good comes up for you.
good luck!

Start off with classes at your local community or youth (depending on how old you are, usually under 18) theatre. No, you don't need an agent to get auditions for casting calls. You might however need a certain membership, like an equity card or something. They might let you audition though, but they'll usually pay attention to those with memberships first.
Good luck!

Sweetie, all websites supposedly offering auditions ARE scams - pro auditions come ONLY via pro agents. Open casting calls are nearly always for publicity purposes only and the actual roles are given to pro actors whose auditions were arranged via their agents long before the so called "open" calls. Just telling it like it is. I know it's hard to digest, but if I lied to you, that wouldn't help, would it?
