I used a very simple count of gender illustration and written description of the cards in 10 decks....then I got tired of counting. Some of these decks were the Thoth Deck, Rider Waite, Gypsy, Aquarius, Native American, Hippie, etc.

Think about doing a simply patterned reading for a twenty year. The lovers comes up in his future...If it was a female, in the minor alone, you would have Kings, Knights, and Pages, but if you're reading for a male only the Queen for the distaff side. Then flip it around with a World for a female and her reading is buried under those same male cards.

For those who come looking....I appear to have fallen behind on the variations of Tarot Cards. I did not know of the Female Dominant Decks. I'm unhappy that a deck gendered equally has not appeared on the scene.
I had an outline of such a deck once, Ladies in waiting and young maidens were part of the whole, as was Joan of Arc. I must have it laying around somewhere.

No. Several decks have a Queen dominant and no King. Those decks emphasize the strong feminine Divine (the Thoth deck being one of them). The strong male cards of the Major Arcana (Magician, Emperor, Heirophant) are not dominant, to my interpretation, to the feminine influences (High Priestess, Empress, Star, World). It evens out. I think it is a little too brief to suggest male dominance from the physical number of males depicted in the Lesser Arcana. Most of those cards have to do with aspects that don't depend on, or imply, gender one way or another. If I got hung up on the number of illustrations of males in my decks, I might as well burn my bra and rant against "history" as opposed to "herstory". To me, its a non-issue.

aside from male themed, or woman themed decks, i think of that maximum decks are particularly impartial. The majors are particularly balanced between woman and male figures. The courtroom enjoying cards is the place greater male pictures are considered, however the male enjoying cards do no longer continually represent in common terms a male individual. you have a woman that is going previous queen like characteristics and whose movements are greater domineering like a king. the way I see the courts is greater of a character and age definition. Pages are little ones & little ones, or adults who act like a baby, could additionally represent autistic adults. Kights are the greater youthful adults interior the worldwide, or people who're older yet returned, act youthful. no longer immature, via bodily energetic and 'performs' like a individual who's youthful than they. A snow boarding grandpa to illustrate. The queens and kings are the older and wiser adults, or little ones who're previous their years in accomplishments or intelligence. those are the mother and dad or a md, who could be youthful than the guy who's getting a interpreting, showing the chain of command hence.

The Daughters of the Moon tarot is all women, Motherpeace is also a feminine tarot. the Diva tarot is a work in progress also celebrating the divine feminine, then there is the Goddess tarot, I suppose the Herbal tarot is stretching it a bit...
But there are quite a few decks out there

Hmm. never even occurred to me. I used to own a basic set and there were male dominate figures like kings and knights and female dominate figures like queens, so I don't think so, however there are some sets that are made specifically using only goddess cards, so I would think it depends on what set you use. Tarot were created to read fortunes not to specify what sex is the dominate one;-)
