I work for an attorney. Honestly, most of the time, my boss is out of the office attending hearings, mediations, depositions, meetings.... so attorneys really do not spend a lot of time in the office. However, if you have questions, it is possible that the lawyer's assistant might be able to answer them for you. Depending on what type of case you have with him, some cases take a lot longer to resolve than others. People just don't understand that theirs is not the only case that the attorneys have, and everyone's case is treated the same. Keep in mind, also, that if you are calling a lot and pestering the staff, it will get back to the attorney and that might also make him less likely to return your calls. If all else fails, call and request an appointment be scheduled right then with you on the phone, and have all your questions ready for that appointment. Hope this helps!

Most "good" attorneys dont take money up front
to represent someone. Only in the case of a lawsuit but even then most do it on contingency.
Alot of lawyers will take youre money...
thats it.
If he asks for more money and he probably will..
tell him he didnt do anything.
And if the lawyer doesnt meet youre requests
just file a prosey lawsuit in youre local civil court building. Requesting youre retainer fee returned, for lack of performance

Are you paying Him? if so hotel a grievance with the bar assn and get a sparkling criminal specialist. in case you arent (feels like yer easily a third celebration in this) Then he has no criminal responsibility or reason to call you in any respect, you arent a paying shopper... Nor a shopper.. in reality the attorneys discussing his consumers(your brothers) something with you may easily be seen a contravention of Attorny shopper privilege.. and which could def get him into problem.. You not being a celebration to this action you do not have any rights in this action easily. Being purely a relative would not furnish you any rights in any respect actual...

Contact his office. See if the paralegal or case manager can help you. They are usually very familiar with your case and do most of the leg work on it anyway. Lawyers don't usually get involved until it's time to negotiation or sue.

Don't be nasty to the paralegal or case manager. Always be friendly and respectful. The paralegal or case manager is a valuable resource. She(or he) also has the attorneys ear. If it's something that only he can do - the paralegal has a better chance of pinning him down to get him to do it that you do.

I think he has done all he can and doesn't see much more money to be made. Keep trying and write a letter with your questions to him mailed via certified mail. Keep it up. Always recorder times and dates of your telephone down to the minute..

Do not assume that he has given up on you. He might be a nice person, but the layer part?????????

It all comes down to money, not justice. .Justice can not be received in our courts/

Draft a letter to him, addressing your concerns, and requesting that he contact you at his earliest opportunity to address your concerns.

You also may contact his legal assistant/secretary, and schedule an appointment to discuss your concerns.

If all this fails, come back to YA for more advise.

Good luck!
