for me i wait and see if he is interested in me..if i go to him and he laughs at me or shoves me away that hurts too much so i wait till he says something.

I always tell them up front. No sense in wasting time for something that might never happen, and my friends (whom I love to death) tend to run around, screaming who I like to the heavens. It's better he hears it from me than to hear from my friend, or someone else. Because then either he'll be freaked out or he won't believe them.
But that goes for guys too, there is no sense in waiting.

simple,since you don't want to come on too strong. basically, hi, it was nice meeting you and bring up some conversations about when you met. get more personal to get know them better if you like them and go on from there. the start is always the hardest, but once you get that over with it's always smooth sailing :)
