ok, so i'm in a new state. i have a motorcycle permit (state won't let me get a licence yet). i know where i'm going to buy my bike. i'm not sure in which order i should get all the legal stuff done in.

for example. should i buy insurance, buy the bike, get it registered and get plates, or some other order? i'm confused on the right way to do everything. thanks in advance.

In my state insurance isn't required. (It IS a good thing to have).
Here we buy them, register them, and then get insurance.
You should probably start with the license. I don't know if you're allowed to test ride with just a permit.

first get an insurance quote on they type of the bike you want, you will be surprised the big price difference on the price of insurance based on the type of bike you want.
crotch rockets and sport bikes may cost you 7 times more for insurance than a cruiser bike.
example: full coverage insurance on a Honda 750 Shadow will cost around $200 a year, insurance on a Honda CBR600 may cost $1400 a year

Are you paying cash or making payments? What state? In my case, it was get the bike, get insurance, register and get plates. In most, if not all states, you cant get plates without insurance.
