Yes!!! This violent "child" criminal is where he belongs. Finally, a judge with some common sense, and no fear of Al or Jesse, put him back behind bars. Let me try to explain it in a little better. He was on *probation* for previous violent crimes. He participated in a beating on a school campus *while* on probation. He violated his probation, thus he belongs in jail.
If I'm already on probation for whatever, and I go down the street and beat on somebody, they're gonna throw my butt in jail. That's how the system works.

im from tha boot! you do the crime don't cry do your time! i've been locked-up many times and in Louisiana you get in the system it's hard to get out and police do profile everywhere and even the black ones and also i remember back in the day when i did use drugs i bought them usually from black people and some always be like u the police or watch the white boy he may be police when actully it's black crackheads doing the snitching cause the police will give them 20 to 100 dollars for talking don't get me wrong i just smoked weed and i've changed a lot since my wife who is black had a baby boy and expecting another good luck on finding your answer i hoped i helped and Mychal Bell best bet is leave La. like i did! And being locked-up will change people so much it don't help people to me all you do is lift weights and learn things from other criminals and when they release you; you come out as "Super Thug" plus in a lot of places races stick together and you may go in not racist but when u leave your not the same! I never let it change me though i'm still the same as the day i walked in there sorry for rambling your question just touched home!!

"the fight that put him in the national spotlight violated terms of his probation for a previous conviction, his attorney said."
" after a six-hour hearing, state District Judge J.P. Mauffrey Jr. sentenced him to 18 months in jail on two counts of simple battery and two counts of criminal destruction of property, Lexing said."
The article contains the answer. If he had learned from his previous convictions and not gotten arrested again, he wouldn't be in jail again.

He broke his parole.
Sorry blacks, you can't get the white beater off this time (hopefully, justice will continue to prevail in this case).
