Lately I've been becoming nauseous almost every time I smell food and certain other scents. Does this mean anything medically?

I have been experiencing this problem for a few days and I don't have any new medications or food poisoning.

Also, I just got off my period almost a week ago, so I don't think that's it.

I DO have a doctor appointment next week so maybe I'll ask for a test.

I've actually been going through the same thing and I know I am not preggo, but if you have been having sex then that could be a real possibility. I don't know what it is for me, I am really hungry and then i smell food and I instantly want to gag! I have never had any problems like this and it doesn't sound like any eating disorder I have ever heard of, it is kind of frustrating. You could definitely be preggo but if your not sorry I couldn't help you much but to let you know there are other people that go through the same thing.

This was one of the first signs I had when I got pregnant. It could be several other things as well. Go have a check up. It could be something serious that needs to be taken care of. Infections of certain types also have this effect. If you are on any meds they could be doing it as well.

pregnancy is the only thing medical enough to answer feeling nauseous towards scents. and if you can smell kids from afar, then, yes you are prgnant

The first answer anyone will come up to tell you is pregnancy, but what I would suggest you do is go to see a doctor as soon as you can to really get the right diagnosis to your problem.

Some women experience that in the early stages of pregnancy.
