The 1st thing that popped in my head when I saw that question was: Why would you want to do that?

You might as well reformat the hard drive and reinstall Windows. (after backing up all your files) Unless you are planning to do something else that I do not know about.

There is also: sfc /scannow
Which is a Windows command line utility that verifies that all protected window files are intact and weren't modified. You type "sfc /scannow" in start->run or at a command prompt to use this. You also need your Windows OS CD.

There is also the option of repairing your installation You could see if this is available by booting from your Windows OS CD. There should be a screen that provides details on repairing the installation. Just follow the onscreen instruction. Be careful not to reinstall Windows if you're not ready to do this, because you'll delete all your files.

YOU DON'T

I strongly suggest you purchase a security suite from a RELIABLE vendor (like mcafee, kaspersky, etc) and properly configure it and automatically downloading and isntalling updates...

Also make sure windows updates is setup to automatically download and install security updates.

If you've completely messed up your system either by manually deleting things you shouldn't or because you've neglected your system by not having proper protection you may have to reinstall windows with the format option...

If things are this bad.. and you are un-tech-savvy (which is obvious if you're wanting to delete a VITAL windows file folder) you should find a reliable technician in your area to assist you.

Good Luck

DONT DO IT!!! System32 contains many files that Windows HAS to have in order to work! (Thats how most viruses end up in there! Oh BTW, you cant do it in Windows- you simply cant.) To get rid of a virus, install an antivirus program and run a system scan. (Avast! Antivirus is a great program, and its free!)

That is your Windows system directory and to delete that is to shut down your computer. Sure you want to do that?

Ah, unless you want to destroy Windows, you can't--not unless you boot into DOS or another operating system.
