Actually, yes.
I use to work the graveyard shift at a restaurant. My friend and I worked the same shift, I got hit with a bad case of Vertigo and I sat down on one of the booth seats and past out for about 2 hours. My friend took over for me and stayed on longer. I felt much better when I woke up, I think I drooled on the seat.
I never got caught because the manager got to leave at 3:00 A.M. it happened about 4:00.
:)

No, not on the job, but back in High School I was caught sleeping on my English textbook in a pool of drool. Embarrassing!

nope, and i work in a nursing home and sometimes if you are really tired it is so tempting to look for an empty bed and just lay down in it. some people have done it and get away with it but the ones that get caught it is grounds for immediate termination. one nurse was almost alseep sitting in a chair and her supervisor sent her to her car to sleep, because she knew she needed sleep and did not want to have to fire her. i guess if you are a good worker and a good nurse then that might work in your favor if you did accidentally fall asleep, say on third shift after working a double that day.

No, but I used to fall asleep every day after lunch when I was the receptionist at a law firm. My bosses would walk by and I would wake up and pretend to be reading something. I think they had a clue but didn't want to confront me about it. They understood that my job was really boring.
Or maybe they just thought I was crazy because I never wore underware and I might go postal in their quiet, polite office.

Only once working the night shift as a telephone operator. My supervisor caught me so I just played it off like I was listening to a boring client on the phone. Whew!

I am too young to work professionally so I go to school and have slept many times. Very cool when your teachers yell at you, but the next day you show them up with an A on the test.

No but I've seen other people fall asleep at the fleamarket I go to on Sunday. They are older 60's and over. It is kind of slow.
