He should serve life. Those kind of people don't change, it is a sickness. If he has 11 years chances are he will only serve 3. it's 2 for 1 (two days served for every one) and out early for good behavior. When a judge sentences criminals these days the sentence could be over turned on a technicality. They could get away with it, they could find a mistake in prosecutation. He could appeal, plea bargain. There are more criminals out on the street then behind bars.
They sent a man to prision for 44 years for stealing a donut, they let OJ Simpson walk! They put innocent men behind bars. (When they say 11 years or 60 years, they don't really mean it) all time gets cut in half and then cut again, and again. Why do we bother ? I remember hearing a jury found someone guilty, and the judge turned around and declared them innocent. (Why get a jury to serve all those days if the judge is just going to over rule the jury?)

Although a little irrelevant to the question Mustard B has a great point. Look at children these days, those that are in the 10-13 age group, they don't look like children any more, they develop breasts faster and start to dress provacatively, and honestly some blokes cannot really be blamed for finding girls like that attractive and it kind of isn't the girls problem either, what can you do really? It's a tough situation. But that bloke that everyone else is talking about I don't know the case so I can't make a comment.

There is no rehabilitation of pedophiles..they have the highest recidivism rate of all criminals...turn them loose and the repeat 99% of the time...this crime should be punished by death in my opinion...there is no slavaging the person. Here, they are usually turned loose to general population, then a guard "accidently" spills the beans. Unfortunately, (Very), a guard here made a mistake recently and falsely accused an inmate of being a pedophile, the inmate was beaten so badly, he was in critical condition. There are pros and cons on both of these side...death sentences always have an appeal process that makes us support them for at least 15 years, then there is always this big drive to spare the person, for after all that time, everyone forgets the horridnous of the crime! Disgraceful is NOT an apt description..the judge should be tried!

Personally I believe that he deserves to die. But I am against capital punishment for the reason that there are some people on death row who are innocent and have been proven so in the past. We cannot make rules to apply to some and not to others. He should definitly be in prison for life. Or we should send them all to some island to live together and do to each other what they have done to the innocent. There is no worse crime than to harm a innocent child!!

Sadly this is becoming the norm for pedophile convictions.
My son was molested & his attacker served 3yrs.
Apart from what other people believe about what happens to these people in prison, I'm afraid your wrong, they are kept seperate from the general population.
Within 6 months of the attackers release from prison he was arranged a meeting with his maker.

i honestly think the amount of jail time depends on the case.

i had a friend who was accused of molesting a 12 year old girl in a park by her parents. and the girl looked like she was 15, she was wearing makeup short shorts and a g string and my friend just turned 18, and the girl never said no or stop or pushed him away. so yeah and now he's in prison for a year.

They should be turned over to the parents of the children that they rape.

Put them all in one cell and turn a pit bull on them.

Tie them up...take a thin glass tube and shove it up their private and smash it with a hammer....I think Hitler's boys did that.

Set it on fire....but let them die in pain pain pain after long long amounts of torture.

Sadistic aren't I?

After looking into the eyes of an innocent child that has been sodomized by this inhuman piece of garbage....no punishment is to severe as far as I am concerned.

Only 11 years? They should castrate him and throw away the key.If the child is murdered, they should be put to death.I have no false hopes or compassion for anyone who would hurt a child.
