It doesn't sound like the chef (or sous chef) was worth the price of the meal. Isn't that annoying? I'll keep my eyes open for this veggie. I like to make vegetable soups.

Broccolini is difficult to mess up. It even is nice raw.

It sounds to Me like what You actually ate was 'Asparation', which is a hybrid of Broccoli and 'Chinese Kale'. Try researching those names if You are interested. Also look up 'Broccolini'.

No, but I'm sure I wouldn't like it as I hate them both. Though brocolli is ok raw or with cheese sauce on it.

Maybe they just cut em into really small pieces, and gave it to you like a salad, would be a broccoli-sparagus salad....
