LIke all plastics, they would give off toxic fumes. Not sure if they are deadly- but I sure as heck wouldn't want to be near them when burning.

Pretty much all plastics give off some toxic fumes when burned. If you really want to destroy them, just break the cases open and cut up the film-like disc inside.

Burning of plastics produce harmful volatile compounds including dioxins, formaldehyde and acetaldehyde. They are suspected carcinogens.

yes and horribly so,
it could actually start a fission ignition reaction,
run dude , run...
especially if your burning it while still int the drive...
