As long as it is still in good shape and proper air pressure, you can use it again.

No, you're fine. Those spares last quite a while. They just don't recommend using them long because they don't last as long as a regular tire AND if you're running on a spare, you don't have another spare! The car also doesn't handle as well when with a little spare tire on, so car manufacturers don't like you using them for long....they do care about your safety you'know?
Put it back in the trunk and use it the next time.
My manager drove on his little spare for what must have been a month or two. It was fine. Good thing he didn't blow another tire though.

Donut Spare is for "Needed Use Only", Meant for the rear of the car. 50 Miles of "Straight Driving". As long as the tread is still good and something didn't happen to make it go flat it's OK.
A lot of the time I'll replace the "Donut" with a full size tire for a spare (Need a full size rim too).

You should be OK to use it again, the biggest concern with using a spare is that it is such a drastically different size of tire that it can stress and wear out suspension and steering parts real quick, not to mention drive-line components. If your spare still has air and holds it, you are good to use it in an emergency again, next time try not to use it for so long though.

Obvious question that nobody's asked is... is your spare a full sized spare (same as your normal tires) or a mini spare (same diameter over all but smaller tire)?
If it's full sized, then you can rotate your spare in and it's actually recommended to do that. If it's a mini spare then you need to check your owner's manual, dealer, or on the spare itself. It will tell you what the limitations are for your spare. Some for example will not allow you to drive faster than 55mph and others are designed with a shorter lifespan so it's not recommended you use them like you would a normal tire.
Whatever you do, though, make sure your spare works, is inflated, and is inspected for age/wear/tear regularly.

yes you can use your spare again providing it is not worn or damaged but will last just as long as your other Tyre's even if it is a space saver it will last you a few thousand miles
