Why would an 18 year old boy want to hang around a 13 year old girl? Thats more the question. I would also be more concerned about his friends that wouldn't mind hanging around a 13 year old girl too? Something's not right here. I don't think it's a good idea. Remember in the law he is no longer considered a minor, can buy alcohol in some states and probably has experienced a lot more than the 13 year old. I say
"No." sorry wouldn't advise it.

I would absolutely say, NO!!!

If you really think about the psychological and physiological differences between a 13 and 18 year old, I am sure you can understand that there are very little similarities.

If an 18 year old wants to be friends with a 13, there are most likely alternative motives. The only exception would be if the 18 year old were mentally challenged.

There is no way that I would allow my 13 year old boy or girl to hang out with an 18 year old.

If I were your mom, I'd at least be concerned, and would want more info and set boundaries. In most cases, I probably wouldn't permit it. 18 year old boys are considered adults. They can drive, date, vote, smoke, and may want a more physical relationship than a 13 year old girl is mature enough for. Typically, they will have other things on their mind than just being "friends and hanging out".

Even if you initiated or consented to sex, he could be charged with what is called statutory rape because he is an adult and you aren't. Even if you aren't doing anything, your and his other friends and classmates will probably assume you are, just because of the age difference, so it could affect your reputation.

Another thing to consider--ask around and try to figure out why he would hang with a much younger girl. Has he already made the rounds of the girls his age? Or would none of them have anything to do with him & why?

I don't see a good outcome for this at this age. Give it 5-10 years, and that age range is nothing. But the difference between junior high-high school or high school-college is a huge hurdle to overcome.

Why would you want that? Your age difference is too great to have much in common, though you might think you do. An 18 year old boy might be fascinated with you because he can manipulate you easier, than someone his own age. So watch it! You don't have enough life experience, compared to someone the age of 18, I don't care how mature you might feel you are. There are certain ways that they are way beyond you. So please don't kid yourself that you're on the same level. I would be very suspicious of an 18 year old being interested in a 13 year old. Reminds me of a pedophile - do you know what that is? They're adults, including 18 year olds, that are attracted to young children, which you are, and their purpose is to use them for sexual gratification. Inotherwards, you'd be no more than a toy to them, so please leave that person alone. It's a really bad indicator for someone that old that wants to be with someone like you, that's so young. Those people are actually afraid or unable to be with people their own age. They have big mental problems and you could even seriously get hurt. How do you know he's 18? Maybe he's even older, which is worse! Uh-uh! Stay with kids in your own age group. When you play with the "big boys", you could get tricked into something bad, because they know so much more than you. Run!

Someone that age should be like a big brother to you and I wouldn't hang out with him unless you were supervised by your family. Age is not the only factor but I would be suspicious of an 18 year old wanting to hang out with a 13 year old. 18 is an age where one is getting out into the world and needing to make contacs and set goals and make plans for their future. Hanging with 13 year olds seems like a regression. Unless you are going to be hanging out in church circles I would be very cautious.

What does an 18 year old guy want with a 13 year old girl?? Just off the top of my head, his motives are probably not on the up and up.

You could but it is illegal for him to touch you, also why would you want to and why would he want to? What does an 18 year old boy want with a 13 year old? I think that we all know the answer to that

Negative.

If he is hanging out with you, he probably is a pedophile. Stay away. When I was 15, I hung out with a 21 year old guy every day. I thought we were good friends, and then we started dating. He was a terrible person, cheated on me, used me for sex, and was just plain rude to me.

No offense, but I seriously doubt that the 18 yr old guy just wants to be friends.
