Theres a lump on my left testicle thats somewhat painful and it was really huge yesterday (about half the size of one of my testicles) but shrunk to half of it's original size today (of the lump's original size). Does anybody know what type of lump it is? I'm going to give it one more day and see what happens before I decide to goto the doctor.

You should probably go get that checked out....you don't want to mess with that! Anything that has the possibility of being cancerous should be looked at right away!! You just never know and it's better to get it checked and be told it's nothing then not get it checked and let it go and get really sick.

Well, it might be the epididymis, it can become inflamed and cause pain. You should get it checked out just to be sure, but it's probably nothing Sperm is stored in and moves through the epididymis away from the testicles. You should have one on each testicle.

To me, it does not seem like an emergency. Having said that though, I'd still have it checked out by a physician as soon as possible - just to put your mind to rest even if it clears up tomorrow. I've seen epididymitis cause localized pain, tenderness and severe swelling. But do see a doctor please.

If it shrunk, it might be some sort of infection, and it may be your body is taking care of things. Unless its completely gone, I'd go through with the dr's visit.

I freaked out when I was a kid and then went to the doctor and he said that he had one as well. Very normal.

Probable fluid build up or blood.
No matter what, you need to see the doc fast!
