As a matter of fact, up in the attic, I do have an old electric typewriter. I just got it out, and checked it out a couple of weeks ago. It still works. Peace!

Used to own an electric typewriter with the 'ball', but trashed it about ten years ago. Everything I type now Is on a computer.

No. With computers and word processing programs typewriters are going the way of the eight track tape player.

tHant iasss hoew i learnedf to tpye. But seriously, when I was a kid my family had two; an electric and a mechanical one. Although I enjoyed writing with it, I was very slow and made many mistakes. Word processors are MUCH better, but I sometimes miss the feel and sound of a good, old-fashioned typewriter. clack-clack-clack-clack-clack---zzzzzzt---ding!

Yes. I think it is a Smith Corona. It weighs a ton. I can't get ribbon for it but I keep it because I lugged it home from a second hand shop years ago (never mind how many). I knew I was going to be a writer. There was nothing else.
Three miles home I carried that machine. I just can't get rid of it altho the machine that earns my living is this one.

I have 2. One is an antique from the 50's and the other is an electric that I'll keep.
