Any ideas would be great, I am working from home and until I get off and running I will be on a tight budget.

There are a million places to advertise for free on the internet, doesn't matter what type of business it is. Join yahoo advertising groups and place hundreds of ads for free. Just type in home business or advertising in the yahoo groups. Get a my space, facebook, yahoo360, connecther.com, merchantcircle.com and so on for free places to list your business and tell the world about it. YOU must promote it in any avenue you can. Hand out business cards to the bank teller, the store clerks, in your bills, talk to friends and neighbors, join networking groups (there are millions out there to join). Go to meetup.com and find local networking groups and attend meetings to advertise for yourself. Invite friends over to demonstrate or explain the business to get people to buy. Make samples of whatever it is you do and hand them out to the lady behind you at a store, leave it with your tips, place a media release in a home town newspaper in the social section to let everyone know you are there and ready for business. Mail out fliers, or post cards to family near and far. Good Luck!

If you have a website google adwords helps, also microsoft adcenter.
You can print flyers and distribute them, also post them on bulletin boards in places like laundrymats and some supermarkets.Make business cards and leave them on counters of local business like hair salons , nails places etc.

It might help if you gave us a clue what your business is.
You need to get your name out to potential clients.
So get a printed package from somewhere like Staples:
Business cards, Letterhead, Flyers, etc.
Or if you're really strapped, make them on your computer.
But they have to look professional quality.
Get a sign made for your (company) car.
Go to trade shows or community meetings.
