So i have this big deliema and wanted to just throw it out there and see what people think. In a nutshell, i am really restless at heart. i love to travel, see new places.. but the majority of the world i haven't seen and still want to do so. and i was getting all geared up to leave after Christmas. everything is all worked out there.

HOWEVER

I have a job offer to work at a radio station doing my talk radio show on a bigger scale than i am now. keep in mind, i'm only 19, but i've worked a ton of different jobs, and i KNOW this is my passion. i am going to be the next big talk show host. i can feel it in my blood. its my dream and my passion.

Saying that, I'm not sure what i should do.. travel, and get it out of my system, or keep after the radio.

Some of my friends tell me that if radio is truly meant to be then it will still be here and opportunities will work out when i get back from traveling.

But what if this IS my one break. My 1 shot..

Thanks for any feedback

If this wasn't something you felt passionate about, I'd say ditch the job and travel, but... take the job! Plenty of time to travel but this sounds like an exceptional opportunity.

...and congratulations and good luck! Remember not to wear cheap t-shirts like Ryan Seacrest when you're interviewing celebrities ;)

Young man there is an expression that when opportunity knocks you better answer the door or someone else will, and another that saying many opportunities only come around one time.

My advice is take the job, save lots of money and do not spend the majority of your money on things. Then after a few year and you are better established and have a reputation in your field you may get other offers that may be better, but you can use the money saved to finance your travels. The places that you want to go will likely be there a very long time, but not that job offer.
