I was given a Nashville Predators jersey a few years ago (3 or 4) and it had 3 signatures. I was wondering if they are fake or not, I saw a signature for J.P. Dumont on ebay and it was fairly similar to one of them and it got me thinking they could be real.

They could be real, but then you can never be 100% sure unless you got them yourself.

I have multiple signatures on my jersey and several other items, of the same players, and none of them are exactly alike. Sometimes it's just the way they are signing it (jerseys aren't the easiest thing to sign) they put them on their laps, they sign them sideways, upside down lol etc.., so the signatures don't come out the same each time.

I have signatures on my "new" jersey of players who were playing in the 80's & earlier, so just because the players aren't playing at the time the jerseys were released, also doesn't mean that it can't be real.

The signatures could be real. They may even be from training camp. The players on the jersey may be the guys that were sent to the minors. And anyway. You can always get signatures on an older jersey. (not necessarily from the year the guys signed it). But they do look real My best guess would be to find a training camp roster of the year you think the signatures came from and look up the numbers. That might give you more of a clue.

J.P. Dumont was not with the team at the time that jersey came out

Sadly, after comparing the signatures to known Predators, none match any names.

For instance, the top one appears to have the a surname beginning with 'K'

Jere Karalahti is the closest fit, and I think that's a stretch

One appears to begin with an 'R'

The one definitely appears to me to be Rem Murray however
I could still be wrong

There's a good chance that they are. It's fairly easy to get an autograph if you now where the team practices. They dont' usually cost more then the cost of buying the jersey and the sharpie, so I would guess that they're real. They might not be from big name players, but they're probalby real. And that jersey is from before the 2006 season BTW. The NHL logo gives that away.

Hmm not 100%, but i think the top signature is Kevin Klein

and i think LITM could be right about the last one, being Rem Murray...

Dont know about the one on the left though.
